Sue started working at Weeroona in November 2003 as a cleaner and kitchen hand. In 2008 she joined the lifestyles team as a Recreational Activities Officer.
Sue is passionate about providing the best quality of care for our residents and ensuring that the Lifestyle’s program meets the needs of all of the residents at Weeroona.
Currently, Sue spends most of her time working in our secured area with residents who are living with dementia. She particularly enjoys welcoming new residents into Weeroona and helping them to feel at ease and comfortable with their new surroundings. Sue provides a caring ear for all residents and their families.
Sue has a certificate IV in lifestyle and leisure.
Before working in the aged care industry, Sue worked in retail and also as a car and truck detailer. She also tried her hand in a takeaway shop but never found true happiness in employment until she started working in aged care.
When not at Weeroona, Sue enjoys; relaxing, reading, watching movies and most importantly, spending time with her family.
