Local knowledge and understanding

Bronwyn SharpDirector of Nursing

Bronwyn Sharp is the current Director of Nursing at Weeroona. Bronwyn commenced her career as a trainee at Cowra District Hospital in 1978 and graduated in 1981. Bronwyn married local man Peter Sharp in 1982 and started a family soon after.

Over the years, Bronwyn worked locally at Weeroona, Moyne in Canowindra and Calare Nursing Home in Orange. Bronwyn worked as a Registered Nurse, Deputy Director of Nursing and Relief Acting Director of Nursing for short periods at all three nursing homes, during these times gaining a certificate in Palliative Care through the College of Nursing.

Bronwyn has a certificate 4 in Training & Assessment and became Director of Nursing at Weeroona in 2010. She has also completed numerous courses including Understanding Accreditation, Health Care Coordination and Clinical Assessment: Integrating Assessment and Care. Bronwyn has an active involvement in the Cowra community and surrounding areas.

Deputy Director of Nursing - Megan Goodacre

Megan GoodacreDeputy Director of Nursing

Megan commenced her nursing training in Sydney in 1985. She then worked at Sydney’s St George Hospital before marrying a local farmer and moving to Cowra, where she continued to work at the local Hospital.

Megan has worked at Weeroona on and off since 1994 as a Registered Nurse and is currently our Deputy Director of Nursing. In between working with us over the years, Megan has also worked at TAFE NSW and BaptistCare in numerous roles including Educator, Clinical Care Facilitator and Acting Manager. She has also completed a Graduate Diploma in Gerontology and a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.

In Megan’s spare time she enjoys gardening, reading and travelling.

Narelle DaggOffice Manager

Narelle has worked at Weeroona Aged Care Residence for over 14 years in the role of office administration and is currently the Office Manager.

Narelle has a certificate III in Health Support Services.

Colin ThomsMaintenance Officer

Colin has been working in Maintenance for many years and is currently Weeroona’s Maintenance Officer.

Colin is married and with 3 sons and enjoys playing golf, renovating his home and cars.

Julie EvansACFI Officer

Julie has been an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse at Weeroona for over 30 years and is currently the facility’s ACFI Coordinator. She completed her training and started her nursing career as an Enrolled Nurse at the Cowra Hospital.

Julie and her husband have two sons together. When away from Weeroona, Julie enjoys going camping, shopping, and doing patchwork.

Raelyn StammersQuality Co-Ordinator

Raelyn is an Enrolled Endorsed Nurse and has been working at Weeroona Aged Care Residence for 32 years. She is currently the Quality Co-ordinator. Prior to working at Weeroona Raelyn Worked at the Cowra District Hospital for 10 years.

Raelyn is married with 2 children.
